serkan civelek, 1974 yılında tekirdağ’ın saray ilçesinde doğdu. müziğe, ilkokulda, mandolin çalarak başladı. ortaokulda ilk gitarını aldı. ondaki müzik aşkı, lise yıllarında, çeşitli rock grupları kurmasına neden oldu. i.t.ü. makine mühendisliğini kazanıp istanbul’a gelince, kendini beyoğlunda buldu. müzik eğitimini moğollar’ın davulcusu engin yörükoğlu’nun açtığı jazz stop adlı klüpte, neredeyse her gece sahneye çıkarak aldı. klüpte pop, blues, rock’n roll, funk, soul, rock, hard rock, reggae vb. tarzları çalıp söyledi. bu arada türkçe beste ve sözlerini de geliştirme imkanı buldu. deneyimlerini harmanlayıp serkan civelek’e ait sound’u yarattı. raks-plaza müzikle tanışıp 97’de "yola devam" adlı ilk albümünü yaptı. bu albüme ait üç video klibi var. müzik çevrelerinden tam not alan albümde türkiye için, yeni ve değişik parçalar bulunuyor. mcm müzik televizyonunda yayınlanan, röportajı ve türkiye’deki ilk üç boyut animasyon klibi, albümün aynı zamanda dünya standardında nitelikler taşıdığını gösteriyor.
